About ZED Bronze

What is ZED Bronze Certification?

The Zero Defect Zero Effect (ZED) scheme was launched by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME), Government of India, in collaboration with the Quality Council of India (QCI). It is implemented under the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification Scheme with the objective to encourage, support and handhold MSMEs to attain higher levels of quality, environmental consciousness, and sustainable manufacturing.

Bronze is the entry-level ZED certification. It is based on a self-assessment and self-declaration model requiring compliance with 20 quality parameters. No physical visit by assessors is required — making it cost-effective and quick to obtain.

  • Launched under MoMSME Quality Framework
  • Assessed & certified by Quality Council of India (QCI)
  • 20 parameters across quality, environment, and safety
  • Self-declaration model — no physical site visit required
